Part of our mission is to improve the look of Gulf Boulevard as well as promote volunteerism in the community.  Our Project Maintenance Group brings this all together.  If you would like to help out a couple of hours a month, we will put your efforts to good use.  Pick from our projects below and contact Julie Hoofnagle at

10th Avenue Mini Park

To keep one of our signature projects looking good all-year-round, we have a group that weeds this park bi-weekly.

City Hall & Chic-a-Si Park Butterfly Gardens

We have two flourishing butterfly gardens in town that were installed in 2015 and 2016.  We need help weeding the gardens on a bi-weekly basis.  Come join the fun and make a difference in our community and for pollinators.

17th & 18th Avenue Gardens & Beach Accesses

In February 2018 we along with 85 volunteers transformed the 17th & 18th Avenue beach accesses and gardens.  We need volunteers to help week on a bi-weekly basis to keep this project looking good all-year-round.  Our efforts in this area have made a real difference in how IRB is perceived in the wider community.

Key West Style Pedestrian Shelters

We have one swing and six shelters that we keep clean on a weekly basis.  We pick up litter, wipe down the shelters and sweep the shelters floors.  This keeps our shelters clean all-year-round.  We paint the shelters once a year to keep them looking their best.   Be a part of our maintenance team for the Key West Style Pedestrian Shelters.

Streetscaping in front of CVS

In April 0f 2017 we solved an irrigation problem for one of our Pedestrian Shelters in front of CVS and improved the landscaping around the shelter along Gulf Blvd.  We need volunteers to help trim grasses, bag leaves, weed and pick up litter on a bi-weekly basis.
