IRB ACTION 2000 APPROACHES 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY!
Since its inception in 1999 the non profit organization, Indian Rocks Beach Action 2000 has made a significant contribution to the City of Indian Rocks Beach, the Gulf Blvd Corridor, and in general the overall quality of life enjoyed by all.
Through the years, many Spirited Volunteers have given their time and efforts to accumulate monies that were given back to the city in the form of projects, improvements and charitable donations. Over $100,000.00 (one hundred thousand dollars) plus numerous volunteer hours have contributed to the betterment of the community as follows:
- Key West Design Pedestrian Shelters
- Trash Receptacles
- Streetscape Improvements
- Cigarette Disposal Receptacles
- Benches
- Oak Trees
- Business Sign Enhancement Program
- Originator and Co-Sponsor of Oktoberfest Annual Celebration
- Valentine Dance
- $25,000 donation to the City for an Independent USF Planning Study
- Preservation and Beautification Awards
- Charitable donations to the Food Pantry, Christmas Tree Lighting, Boat Parade and other civic events
Action 2000 is always seeking active citizens to get involved.
Working as a community, with a shared vision for the future, we can each make a difference.
